Asset Management function is responsible for major and/or complex transactions and for management of some County and special district real estate. Major transactions supported include those at Mather Field. Revenue Leases include agricultural leases at the buffers around the airport, sewer plant, and landfill, as well as telecommunication leases, building leases to others, etc. The unit also handles sale of surplus real estate, conveyance of easements, and inquiries about County-owned parcels. The Affordable Housing Fee Deferral and Waiver Program is designed to encourage development of affordable housing projects, this program allows for the deferral and/or waiver of residential development fees for eligible low and very low income housing projects constructed in the unincorporated area of Sacramento County. The most recent secured annual property tax bill and direct levy information is available online, along with any bill(s) issued and/or due in the most recent fiscal tax year though e-Prop-Tax, Sacramento County's Online Property Tax Information system. This includes Secured and Unsecured supplemental, escaped, additional and corrected tax bills issued for property taxes on real property. This does not include personal (unsecured) property tax bills issued for boats, business equipment, aircraft, etc. View the E-Prop-Tax page for more information.

Privately and commercially-owned boats and aircraft are also subject to personal property taxes. On the other hand, certain types of personal property are exempt from property tax and among these types are: household personal effects, business inventories, and licensed vehicles (i.e., those paying an in-lieu property tax as part of their registration fee). Several property situations may trigger a taxpayer to initiate a Request for Assessor Review or property reassessment. The Assessor may initiate the review if the problem is discovered independently. View the Decline in Value Reassessment page to request an Assessor's review. The filing period for reviews is July 2 to November 30.

Construction and Building

Restricting site access through the use of gates -- whether electronically or manually controlled -- shall only be allowed upon approval by the appropriate fire district in accordance with Sacramento County Code.
